News from Barry:

Stuck in West End, gale blowing drinking Pimms with our English mates. The crossing was great average 6.5 knots -seas were 4 to 6ft and novice crew member managed brilliantly.

News from Anne:
Just to let you know the crossing was great, we were lucky to get a window in the weather and had calm seas and fair winds for your my first ocean crossing. We left at one minute past midnight on Friday (as a sailor never leaves port on a Friday) and averaged 6 knots over a 12 hour trip with seas 4 to 6 foot. The gulf stream was a piece of pie (lucky for that) and were welcomed into the Old Bahamian yacht club by a very friendly voice on Channel 16 calling the yacht Inspiration to let them know that their English friends were at Lucaya yacht club and wanting to know where the f...... Inspiration was.

Mikey and Sue caught a cab up to West End and joined us in a lovely marina where we have stayed for Saturday and Sunday nights as the north wind has now come through. It is pretty foul out of the harbour - we will leave for our island hops as soon as the wind sits down. In the mean time enjoying the pimms and experiencing the local restaurant - the goombay smash lived up to expectations!!!!
